Hydrotherapy Pool and Gymnasium

Calvary Health Care Sydney has a 35 square metre hydrotherapy pool and associated gymnasium. The facility was completed at the end of October 2008 and enhances the Day-Only and lnpatient Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Services.  The facility  is supported by our team of dedicated and experienced staff including allied health staff, technical assistance and porter/maintenance support. A fully equipped day therapy gymnasium is also located adjacent to the pool.

It is recognised that the warmth of the water in hydrotherapy treatment relieves pain, reduces muscle spasm and induces relaxation - allowing a greater range of movement and enhanced rehabilitation. The hydrotherapy pool will allow even the most fragile and mobility restricted clients the opportunity of purposeful movement and exercise, leading to a more rewarding lifestyle. Used in conjunction with our high quality rehabilitation service, which includes inpatient, day therapy and community based services, we at Calvary aim to provide a more comprehensive rehabilitation programme. This programme also provides benefits to our palliative care patients, providing complementary programmes for pain relief and assists withrelaxation and stress management.
